Black Rain

by Ben Harper

You left them swimming for their lives
Down in New Orleans
Can't afford a gallon of gasoline
With your useless degrees and contrary statistics
This government business is straight up sadistic

Now you don't fight for us
but expect us to die for you
You have no sympathy for us
but still I cry for you
Now you may kill the revolutionary
but The Revolution you can never bury

Don't speak to us like we work for you
Selling false hope like some new dope we're addicted
to
I'm not a desperate man but these are desperate times
at hand
This generation is beyond your command

And it won't be long
'til the people flood the streets
To take you down
One and All
a black rain is gonna fall

If you want a copy of this, I can send it to you. Thanks to Joey for this one.

Dancin' in the Dark-
Now there's a killer song. I'm listening to the Boss's greatest hits. Some gems on there - also some real shit-bag songs. Wasn't Courtney Cox in the video for Dancin' in the dark?
But to the point - the Boss has been nailing the issues (as harper does in your transcript) for years. Listen to him. He's a bad mutha fer.

No doubt. Nebraska is one of my favorite albums. Springsteen's new one is pretty good too. He hits the mark on some current issues. And yes, Courtney Cox was in that video.

Niall,
You're the cats tits. Nebraska, the album, not the state, is the fucking cats vagina. Good stuff. I'm about to roll out of here and buy myself some tickets to a built to spill concert in Missoula. Real goood.
