Jamaica, Jamaica...

We went to Negril, Jamaica to see Cherilyn's cousin Jenna Barkley wed Brett Wilcox. The wedding was at a luxurious all-inclusive resort, with white sandy beaches and clear azure water. I spent most of my time lying on the beach, drinking pina coladas. We also went snorkeling, played tennis on clay courts, and went on a sunset cruise. The cruise went along the coast towards Rick's Cafe. Along the way, the boat stopped, to allow us to take a dip in the water and cliff jump. You could swim into these caves and climb up a ladder to a bar on the cliff. For two bucks, they gave you a drink and then let you jump. Brandon, Mark, Warner, and I all made the plunge. The wedding was set on the beach, and the bride walked down the aisle to "Waiting in Vain" by Bob Marley. The processional was also Bob Marley. His music was pretty much everywhere we went. During the beach party, the resort had a steel drum group play for us, in addition to a more traditional group, which played, "The Big Bamboo". I really didn't get much of a feel for the island, as we never had the need to leave the resort. Still, it was a very relaxing trip, with beautiful beaches, water, and sunsets.
