U2 Denver

Denver 4/20/05
Photos taken by Colin Burke.
U2 left town today after two killer shows. Playing on back to back nights, the band did a pretty good job of mixing things up. Both shows were much better and tighter than the San Diego shows. Bono threw in a verse of "She's a Mystery to Me", a song he wrote for Roy Orbison, near the end of "One" at the request of a fan. I have never danced and jumped up and down at a U2 show as much as the second night. The opening five songs almost killed me. I don't think I have ever heard them play The Fly or Elevation better than that night. It was good seeing so many close friends at the show and getting to hang out. I also want to say that I am grateful that Cherilyn survived the second show.
