Daily Show

The Daily Show does an excellent job of using satire to make a point and raise awareness about politics in this country. I am currently sans cable and thus do not get to watch it anymore. It sucks. However, the folks over at www.crooksandliars.com posted a clip from the show that I wanted to share with the five of you who read this.

Here are three reasons I read that Iran isn't behind the IEDs:

1) Iran-connected Shiites now dominate the U.S.-backed government in Iraq, 2) IED attacks have been coming primarily from the Sunni insurgency, and 3) Iran would have nothing to gain from helping its U.S.-supported allies in Iraq attack coalition forces with IEDs.

In all likelihood, some materials used in the IEDs did enter Iraq through Iran. Although, materials enter Iraq through all the countries it borders. I bet that some of the materials in the IEDs were made in China. That doesn't mean that the Chinese are helping make the IEDs. Let's use some logic folks.

The Bush administration, who I must admit I mistakenly thought would be no different than Gore back in 2000, is trying once again to move the focus away from their daily screw ups and towards another of the "Axis of Evil" countries. To paraphrase your blog title, this country needs to fucking wake up!

Life without cable is great. I've been without it for well over a year. Don't get me wrong, I like TV as much as the next guy, but it is amazing how much you can accomplish when there's nothing to watch.
