Guess it is official. Miller Lite sucks.
Oh yeah!

As a kid growing up in Western Colorado, I knew a lot of Mormons. Their religion is a little odd to me, but they were typically friendly and didn't bother me. I remember people saying that the Mormons were forbidden from drinking Coca-Cola, until the church bought the Coca Cola company. Then they could drink it. I thought this was pretty funny at the time, but then I heard the story again this weekend. I quickly realized that there is no way that the Mormon church could own Coke. It is a huge company. So I figured this must be falses, and decided to do some internet sleuthing. Turns out it is a rumor.
President Bush is on the defensive regarding the justification for invading Iraq again. The President stated, "...it is irresponsible for Democrats to now claim that we misled them and the American people. Leaders in my administration and members of the United States Congress from both political parties looked at the same intelligence on Iraq, and reached the same conclusion: Saddam Hussein was a threat."
We went to Negril, Jamaica to see Cherilyn's cousin Jenna Barkley wed Brett Wilcox. The wedding was at a luxurious all-inclusive resort, with white sandy beaches and clear azure water. I spent most of my time lying on the beach, drinking pina coladas. We also went snorkeling, played tennis on clay courts, and went on a sunset cruise. The cruise went along the coast towards Rick's Cafe. Along the way, the boat stopped, to allow us to take a dip in the water and cliff jump. You could swim into these caves and climb up a ladder to a bar on the cliff. For two bucks, they gave you a drink and then let you jump. Brandon, Mark, Warner, and I all made the plunge. The wedding was set on the beach, and the bride walked down the aisle to "Waiting in Vain" by Bob Marley. The processional was also Bob Marley. His music was pretty much everywhere we went. During the beach party, the resort had a steel drum group play for us, in addition to a more traditional group, which played, "The Big Bamboo". I really didn't get much of a feel for the island, as we never had the need to leave the resort. Still, it was a very relaxing trip, with beautiful beaches, water, and sunsets.
A few months back, I started posting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I am continuing where I left off, but I thought I would post Article 5 again, as it is quite relevant these days.
I am back from Jamaica, and I will write more about that later. It always thoroughly sucks when you return from a good vacation. You go from having no cares in warm, sunny weather to the regular mundaity of life. I almost lost it while buying a toner cartridge at an Office Depot with strains of "A Groovy Kind of Love" by Phil Collins playing in the background. At least we all have Thanksgiving, with food, family, and friends, to look forward to next week.
A couple of days ago, I said that if Virginia Tech beat Miami, they should be ranked one or two in the nation. Well, they lost. Guess that takes care of that controversy. The win by Miami makes the University of Colorado look more impressive though. Their two losses this season have come to Texas, ranked #2, and Miami, soon to be ranked #4 in the nation. Let's hope that the Buffs can keep up the good play.

I am often sent links and articles from friends about stories or websites that they feel I should write about on this blog. So I decided that every now and then I will make a post of stuff from other people. Feel free to send me anything that you would like to see on this site whenever you feel like it. These are from JG and JH.
Colorado voters said, "Yes" to Referendum C, but not to Referendum D. Also, for those who are curious, the marijuana initiative in Denver passed, although, if you plan on toking up in Denver, you should still be wary. Law enforcement can still book you on State charges.
- I am encouraged that the President addressed the issue of a flu pandemic and discussed $7.1 billion strategy to prevent a widespread outbreak. I just hope that they can properly implement and manage the plan to protect us. Unfortunately, critics say it won't be completed until 2010, and this administration's track record in preventing and handling crises hasn't been stellar.
